Aon is looking for a Livestock Analyst in Chicago, Illinois As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting reinsurance solutions in Chicago,IL. As a Livestock Analyst, you will report directly to the Senior Managing Director. Your impact as a Livestock Analyst Main ResponsibilitiesAnalyze the crop/livestock, weather, and historical insurance data and use in modeling building, model validation, and periodic model updateWork with livestock price data including milk and milk component futures data for probabilistic model developmentConstruct the yield dataset and maintain for use in model updateDevelop the indemnity and premium estimation models for crop and livestock insurance plans based on Risk Management Agency’s rule and regulationsTranslate Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA) and Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement (LPRA) into the workable modelPrepare the technical documents accurately and efficientlyPrepare the input dataset, run the model, and communicate results to the clients in timely mannerShould act as the go to person for livestock insurance Knowledge and Skill RequiredStrong quantitative background is necessary and can translate the insurance policy wording into the mathematical formSolid programming skill in R or Python and experience in automating the processHands-on experience in large data management by using MS-SQLExperience in crop and livestock yield modeling is highly preferred.Working experience with weather data Education and QualificationShould have at least Bachelors degree in Agricultural/livestock Economics, Livestock and related fields, atmospheric science, natural resource, computational biologyMust have research or analytical experience in livestock insuranceMust have familiarity in the U.
