Manager, Commodity Hedging Hedging Options/Spread Trading in Commodity Markets Experience Grain Origination Experience Options Theory/Mechanics Understanding Series 3 Completion Preferred Volt Workforce Solutions has a long-term position available in Maumee, OH for a Manager of Commodity Hedging. Position Description: The Commodity Hedging Manager is responsible for the management of Our Client’s Futures Market activities. Additional responsibilities include implementing Risk Management strategies using Futures, Options Spreads, Swaps and various over-the-counter Hedging tools in a manner that most efficiently: Utilizes working capital. Creates insurance-like coverage. Provides margin protection. Specific attention will be given to Derivative Product Development and the Group’s overall Hedged positions while ensuring compliance. The Manager is expected to: Provide Commodity Risk Management strategy to various Business Units and Sr. Management. Take a leading role in: Leveraging cash commodity positions with Futures and Options. Developing Risk Management programs. Educating appropriate Company personnel. The position is also responsible for the financial performance of the Hedge desk. The role requires an extremely high level of specialization in Futures and Options, with appropriate depth across functional areas to be able to leverage that specialization to its fullest extent. A high level of knowledge about Cash Commodity Markets traded within the Company is also required, to enable the Manager to use this expertise in a fashion that supports the Company’s position and overall strategy. This includes understanding and predicting price trends and spread relationships, using both fundamental and technical analysis. The Manager is expected to play a directional role in positioning the Company to profit from changes in Futures markets, based upon inputs from the Grain Division Risk Department, as well as staff and direction from the Manager. The direction will be primarily provided in a manner that allows Futures and Options to be used as leverage in Cash Commodity positions across Operating Divisions. The Manager has concurrent responsibility to provide timely Market information and a high level of service to all parties within the Company and its investment entities. Overview of Decision Support and Management Area Futures/Option/Spread/Position Compliance Quantitative Analysis: Mathematical Model Building and Statistical Analysis What If Analysis CAT (Catastrophic Risk Management) Programs Developing and Managing Commodity Risk Management Strategies Derivative Product Support/Development: Swaps, Strips, Swaptions/Locks Economical Analysis: Agriculture/Energy Broker Commission Management This is an estimated 6-12 month contingent/temporary position in Maumee, OH, through Volt Workforce Solutions located in Portland, OR.
